I'm bored....

got paid off yesterday and sat in the house.....

guess I will go dust off the BAJA.....and get it ready for a run if it ever stops raining....

Well the Baja never disappoints me in finding another job to do!

got it all dusted off batteries charged and all pre run checks done only to find the diff has decided to die...not sure whats up with it yet ...all I know is there is no drive through it..


It was working great last time I had it out so its tear down time again

crown wheel is tight to diff case and drive shaft splines are good...not sure what is up now.

its a job for next time......

I assume you had there no drive to wheels? Could be as simple as a wheel square maybe?

nope...thats the first thing I checked..wheel squares are good...squares to drive shafts are tight..dog bones and cups in good condition.
All gears tight ...if you jam up the diff to layshaft gears...you can still turn the back wheels so it must be internal...also if turning 1 wheel the other just sits still instead of turning the other way...

not had chance to look at it yet though as a few bits of DIY have gotten in the way...lol
