when the whole christmas thing is over here in the uk it can get boaring the weather is grim with a lot of rain so running your buggy is a no go,, i,ve been building a new dirt jump bike but thats come to a hault cos, i am waiting on parts to finish it and there stuck in some post depot somewere untill after the holidays. i think we all miss the good weather when you can get out and do things.

your as bad as the bloody kids all new xmas pressies and thats all they say im bored got nothing to do wtf play with your new toys

mike you not ever thought about getting a basher ust to play about within times like this and when your not racing i think you would have what us bashers call fun lol

Nah, bashing doesn't do it for me - racing is fun, try it, you might like it.

would love to mike but its not as easy as just doing it,,,im just not in a position to do it im long term sick its hard enough just getting out for a hour to bash at the mo thats without thinking of cost,me and wagon are thinking of coming to watch the indoor event planed for feb

just out of interest what do you take to a race meeting ie car spares wheels ect how many and what tools ect

ive got no spares what so ever now i used my last 2 rose joints this week thats all that has broken realy in the last 5-6 runs ive got spare plugs odd screws/nuts/bolts ect but thats about it no extra tyres wheels just a car/handset and a charger

the rose joint thing theres only 2 that keep braking after every couple of tanks there shot but if i replace them with alloy/steel ones is it going to brake somthing else like a alloy arm more to replace than a plastic stock rose joint what do you use

lower rears the ones closest to the engine but to be honest all the rear lowers get hammered ive tried the red mcd ones there ok but still end up the same plus there not the cheapest thing and ross mod only seem to list them in packs of 100@£125 the fg ones in a 4 pack @6-8 euros at last ok 6-10 runs depending on how many rollovers and hard landings they get i can live with that,if i change over to alloy or steel ones what happens then ive seen a fg snap a arm because it had alloy joints nothing to give resulting in a new arm much more than the rose joint costs

At a typical race meeting I'll have 3 bag of tyres, tools, assorted shock oils, grease, brake and carb cleaner, silicone spray, enough spares to repair anything (pretty much a full car worth), Leisure battery folding table, chair, radio gear, chargers, spare servos and brew kit/food.

Mmmmmmmm not the easy ones to change at a meeting........ive gone back to all black ones apart from top arm as i run a topstox as in my avatar there alloy, top ones used to snap in half do to hitting top chassis, used to use tubing about 20mm long and push over rose joint then sqwash in vice to try to strengthen, then got posh and used alloy.......red ones to me used to be to brittel......some did say boil them up to make plastic softer............never tried it cause mrs would kill me using her best saucepans..........hope help some how.....

is that the same for all or are there some right flash basterds that have spare cars test car qualifying engine race engine you know the ones that think moneys the key to winning

Lmao like your style renbar.......if pointed at me......there seems to be them sort in every sport......i used to race full size and if liitle jonney wanted daddy got..........hopefully not flash bastard as you put it lol.......as mike i do take 1 engine (spare) box full of everything off ebay mainly so not new....and 4 boxes off tyres.........

not pointed at anybody mate more at 1.1 scale all areas suffer it to some degree,,and if i could god dam right i would id have 2 or 3 of every part on my car and then some all in fresh packets and boxes

No worries renbar no where you coming from, no offence ment mate......like i say i get my spares mostly off ebay......which ive not any bad deals yet.......

built the whole car from ebay mate over 2/3 years to get here sold spares or unused bits back on to get alloy bits and upgrades,,but ive got the car to 99% perfect and reliable which is no easy task when its got more power than stock more weight than stock.
now i can go out and have a unspoilt run 7/8 times out of 10 and it only the rose joints letting it down i can afford and live with that its a small price to pay,
im going to stock up on these and change them every 4/5 good runs or as soon as they have any play.
