Which servo died?

I have run mine 4 times and everything is holding up except I lost the Brake Cam Arm, the little silver wire and set screw came off while running. I have been checking everything after every run. I forgot to use blue lock tight on the set screw that holds the arm in place. I made another arm from a landing gear axel and went to Home Depot for a 4mm set screw.

Good luck with that.....
I was running on luck, I do have a replacement I was just wanting to try the stock throttle servo and see what a 4$ servo does. :D

I was thinking most have problems with that stock throttle servo because of the brake. I noticed that if you don’t adjust the braking travel you put to much pressure on servo when braking. I have mine dialed down to 30% and the truck stops. So my idea was to see if lowering the travel will help the servo last longer. I think I either have the 1 out of 100 servo that works or it is just waiting to fail.

I have to say Now that I have put the other servo on it, Kryptonite can build one. This thing is a screamer. i thought it would be slower due to running the big tires but holy cow. This thing still is a zippy truck...

Well i guess i am lucky also i am running both stock servo's and have no problems at all i also did what 50mph did just adjusted the end points so they are not over working and they are fine i am on my second gallon of gas all stock except for a cage, redcat pipe and 8,000 rpm spring o yea half of the gallon was on TT tires, and the other on MT tires. The whole truck is stock out of the box i did nothing but a little loc-tite no pre run setup here a little oil on the filter and away i went.

well, I wish that was what I didnt do on that servo. Unfortunatly , I have always adjusted the endpoints due to my heli's dmand it. I believe it was said there are good servo's and bad ones.

Thats impressive on the stock truck. i have herd some stories, nice to see there is a person who admits they are running stock. Many on the heli forum won't fly it if it has basic stuff.

Well i did break a rear A-arm yesterday on a snow jump. I had it about 6 foot and it landed on the rear wheels snaped the arm. So i will replace it with aluminum and while it's all apart i am cleaning the wheel berings and re lubing them up and powder coating the dogbones hot pink so they will be easy to find. Wow with the powder coat on it got nice and snug in the drive cup almost no play, it fits like a glove. :D

I do understand about Heli's need better servos. Still we have a few that are running their stock servos that came with their DX7. We all recommend they get better servos. Funny the few that are using the stock servos and still fly. They are not doing any 3D yet but once they start I believe they will need some better servos.

Are you loosing your dog bones? People say you can use fuel tubing between the ball and the cup. I used ear plugs and they are working great its funny that they are pink, like you said I also can see that the ear plug is still present. When I first put them in I had little pink pieces that work fall out.

No i am not loosing them. When i jumped and landed the a-arm broke and it fell out in the snow we dug around for about 15 min and then we found it got lucky it was about 7 inches of snow. I didn't do nothing to shim or space them out never lost one. Never had any problems with them at all. One time the front drive bone pin fell out so i grinded a flat spot in it a lil loc-tite and she's been good. I like pink it's hot pink i did my cage also and rolled it a few times on blacktop and not even a scracth. It is waaayyy bright i run no body for now, not sure what body i want yet.
