bought second hand good pmt kronos, 40 on the side!!

hey guys had a read through the forum on tires seen alot about the kronos and that they arnt made new anymore these have a 40 on the side and feel pretty hard. are these totally rubbish? i thought id start another thread just incase anyone else is wondering about tyres as i couldnt find much on ones with 40 on the side. thannnks guys
 
Kronos are old, 40 is mega hard.

PTM Kronos and Eclips - and newer tyres but I can't remember the names.
Kornos graded from soft to hard - 5, 10, 15, and so on upto 45 with some split compounds

Eclips graded from soft to hard 05, 10, 15 and so on upto 35 i think, it may be 40 or 45
 
hey mike thanks for your reply yaa i thought they were pretty hard just from feel and from reading on here and not finding anything online i thought ya they must be pretty old. i only payed a tenner for four all have really good tread left, thankfully think i didnt pay to much.
i don't know why i bought more tires whe i bought my fg second hand it came with a box of asorted tyres.
