Ive got an old set of front cable brakes which are in a bit of a mess so just wondered would a disk and the two pads from the set fit and replace the standard Marder brake?

Don't wanna take it all apart to find they won't fit so if anyone knows that would be great.

Thanks

Hmmmm, good one. The standard discs are 17mm so there is no reason why not! Not too sure on the pads, but if i'm thinking right they should go straight on. It should only take you 15 mins to take the gear assembly out so not much time wrenching there.

If you mean using one of the cable discs fitting for the rear layshaft single disc, then no it's a different size. The pads are the same but you can't fit both. You need the ones without a metal backing glued to them.
