sdpearson you may want to read up on how to correctly mix your fuel. If you are only adding gas to your 50:1 premix you are running dangerously lean. You should be adding oil. I seen that you gave this same advise on another post so I know it's not a typo. Just trying to help.

50:1 means 50 parts fuel for 1 part oil

If you add more fuel to the mix, you will be getting more than 50:1 and in your advice it would be 100:1

50:1 needs oil to go the other way toward 25:1.
