Hi Guys!

Some of you may have seen my post on the new members forum....

For those of you that haven't, I am planning on scratch building a F1 Brisca Stockcar, 1/4 scale.

I have been looking on Ebay at brazing equipment, and I thought that I would ask the forum for some advice.

The square section steel will be between 1 & 2 mm thick, the tube 18 swg (1.22).

Would something like this be suitable??

I have used both propane and MAPP for brazing and they work well. if you are having problems getting enough hear in to the workpiece, change to MAPP gas, but otherwise propane will work. I think that B&Q do the canisters for the torch you have picked.

if doing lots of brazing, then I'd recommend the type of torch that connects to the canister by a pipe, as it gives better free movement.
