i know this has been ask probably a million times but what break in if any is the best way to break in a fuelie 30.5 engine? thanks
 
Here you go man. Remember to check the Carb settings first.
New engine break-in procedure

1. Take it easy on the engine for the first two tanks

2. Heat cycle twice, run the engine for 20 minutes and let it fully cool down

3. We recommend 91 octane fuel, mixed at 25:1 Our preffered oil is Castor 927

4. Let your engine warm up before driving

5. Try to vary the rpms during breaking.

5. DO NOT HOLD FULL THROTTLE UNTIL THE ENGINE IS COMPLETELY BROKEN IN!!!

7. Do not use octane booster

For the Carb...

IF I remember it's H=1-1/4 L=1-3/8 turns from closed, and the idle screw set at 1mm open

i just go 1-1/4 accross the board and adjust from there,but thats what works for me

Sounds just about spot on.
Always check all of the bolts - single cylinder engines vibrate severely and nearly everything works loose - including servo arms, cylinder head, engine mounts, etc ... just a thought.

Just a thought, if your truck is room temperature when you try to start it, then only choke the motor half way or you could easily flood it. Also, change out the crappy stock plug for an NGK CMR7H. Much better spark compared to the stock plug. If it doesn't want to start, its probably flooded. There's an easy fix for that too.

yah know that reminds me, i pulled my plug a couple weeks ago to check it, and discovered that it is a ngk plug that came with mine, kinda odd that it wasnt the km plug but its not.
 
Mine flooded easily with the stock "torch" plug. When my bug wouldn't start initially, I pulled the plug and noticed that the plating was gone on the plug.
