Hi Vass,
How heavy are those (Traxxas-type but metal) axles - they look very, erm, solid?
With the relative power / torque of the petrol engines, is there going to be a wear point on the sliding section after a while which stops the idea being useful - stops it sliding?
Al.
I hadn't any promblem till now with these parts.
Sliding section is the strongest piece on axle. Its movement is about 3 - 5 mm for 50mm suspansion travel, ( ... to this car ) works dust free and greased.
( ... if I understand what you say )
Vass
Hi Vass. More-or-less, yes.
The sliding action - I was thinking it might stay within a few mm of one part and start wearing.
The other thought was the sheer mass (weight) of it relative to normal dogbones or CVD's or ball drives. Looks very heavy.
Al.
