Broken crankshaft

Everyone spits out a bad egg every now and then. I agree though, it nit a normal failure.

It does happen sometimes. Cy has done it, Zenoah have done it and some aftermarket cranks have done it. But normally not a common thing.

Nothing on the crankshaft quality but heres food for thought.
Machinist always machining Dart and other well known cyl heads, always cuts perfect.
Customer brings in two alloy cyl head made in China. Yep we will check em for you.
Put them on the surfacer and immediately something different, clogged the cutters. Material was definitely different to other heads. Boss sent them to be tested, all the materials you expect to be in the alloy casting where very low percentage wise or missing.
Not all stuff that’s made in China is poor quality but not all stuff is good either.
Customer only save a few dollars on the heads but ended up buying two Trick flow heads.
