Are you guys bothered by missing fins on the flywheels? I'm missing 3 on the outside of my 29CC and missing 2 on the outside of my 26cc. I didn't notice any ill effects and have been running like that all summer. Should I bother to replace it or leave it as is? I've read numerous conflicting statements, where some will say even 1 missing fin will throw off the balance so bad that bearings in the crankshaft and other parts of the motor will wear prematurely. Any truth to this? I haven't noticed any increased vibration. I have an outerwears on my 26CC in my Baja but it didn't seem to help as the rocks came it from the other side. Are the fins critical to cooling of the motor? I'm not so much concerned about the cost of the flywheel, more so about all the work required to replace it. Easy on the Baja, no so much on the DBXL.
