You can currently build a losi 8ight T 2.0 anywhere from 1/3rd to ½ price.
I did build one going onto ebay sellers in the U.S. they have “part out” which are brand new kits pulled apart and sold at auction or buy now.It took me 6 months to buy it cheap thru auction sites,a really good saving.
Won’t be long now before more sellers start posting up.

I suppose it's still too early to win price-wise overall on the 5ive - too new.
Just an idea anyway.
You could do the 'Baja special', without throwing away / selling at a loss all of the parts people normally do with the Bajas, by selecting the parts you want as and when available and suitable for your application - and pocket!!

Bit of fun, but worth considering just the same.
