We wanted to put a Carson body on the Mutilator, but as you can see there is a big difference in the 2 chassis'. Looks like I will leave it stock or convert it into a truck...

This sucks!! Why they used a truck chassis to make a buggy is beyond me.. No wonder why the body looked so goofy...

Melissa wanted a truck to begin with, so I may just convert it into an M/T... The buggy was my idea and if you remember back about 2 years ago, I was going to convert my truck into a buggy, so I guess it could all work out? Build her a truck and build myself a buggy, but that Mut body has got to go!

Yup..they just used the extra supply of Mt Chassie pan's ..made a ugly buggy body
and then peddled it on the market.....Not much R&D there....
Ok it won't take much to add a Firehammer Mt body....You have to change the rear support bracket..remove the wing mount bracket....Tower has the stuff to do it
You can get a Mt body & rear brackets....Think for about 80 bucks all together..
you will get it figured out......Best to you on this project.....Slawhammer

Why not go stadium truck route...would save having to change the wheels and gearing them.
Good Idea! I like that!!

Thanks Slaw, Haven't heard from you in a few days..

I'd get a FG Monster Beetle body for it. Very strong and great for rolls!!

I'll have to ask the boss! She is out with the her family today, but I know she will be reading and posting later on..

Trip..

Oh by the way..I think you can get a roll cage set up that is used for the Fg Beetle pro
that will work on the firehammer chassie...then just get a beetle shell and paint it the way you want....I found that out about the Fg roll cage ..after I madea support system for my firehammer........Sorry for not getting in the forum more.....Not feeling the best right
now..can only be up for a couple hours then have to lay down and sleep for about 6 hours...There changing my meds again.....Slawhammer

No problem Slaw, I understand!

I ordered a Firehammer BX rollbar, but with the wide chassis I don't know if it will work. I will check it out and let you guys know.. It may be converted to a Marder Beetle... We'll see what the boss says?

The Beetle body wouldn't fit without the black chassis thinggy. That thing is $135 and the body is another $130 that's too much! We will come up with something el;se.

The FG body will work..with out the sub body or under carrage for it....
you have to redesign the roll cage..cur & add braces to make it work for the firehammer...
But I did read about the marder or fg beetle pro roll cage is suppose to work...
I am not sure about that my self...maybe I should buy that roll cage and let ya know how it works......so far my home made add on seems to work......I am sure you will get some thing figureded out if you go to that beetle body....best to you on your project...........Slawhammer
