Buy a Rampage MT- how to tell which version?

Hi!


How can I tell which version my local hobby shop is selling? I really want to know so that I get the latest version.

I`m still however a bit uncertain about different versions. My friend just bought Redcat Rampage (stock version, not the Pro) and his truck came with darkgrey anodized aluminium parts (shock tower and the roof scope etc....) The gearplate was however in plastic.

I have however noticed that on other stock Rampage MT:s the aluminium is blue and that they also come with a blue aluminium gearplate (even in stock version)

What is this all about? Is this also a sign of different versions?

That looks like HPI's version. From what I've seen, the Redcat version doesn't come with the fuel tank braces.

Yes, you might be correct about this :) The truck he bought was named Maverick Blackout and Maverick I guess is a sub brand to HPI UK.

What else differs between the Maverick and the Redcat version? Which one is the best?
 
They're basically the same. They come from the same place. They both have a 30cc engine, they both come with a 2.4GHz system. The only real differences I've noticed are the colors and the fuel tank braces.
