thinking of buying an fg prosche or a fg baja 4wd. which one is better and how is the build quality of the fg products i have an hpi baja. just want a 4wd so is the on road or off road better can u guys help and give suggestions. thanx.
 
The FG Baja 4X4 is more vesatile because you can put some race truck or F1 wheels & tyres on it and use it on road too, the porche would just be for on road use. Build quality is the same for both, ask yourself what you want to do with it.
 
if you are talking about the FG Porsche 4WD on road than if you look at the exploded views you will see that almost all the parts are the same, except for the chassis, shocks, radio tray and shock mounts. You would also need the Baja shell.

If you went this way and you're prepared to cut the arches on the porche shell to accomodate the larger off road wheels it would look poop hot.
 
I meant doing a simple conversion, ie buying one and than buying the remaining parts that don't transfer. Essentionaly having both cars but without the outlay.
 
go the baja, can be raced or bashed. ive had one for about a year and a half now, put over 80 tanks through it, only ever replaced one shock cap, on out drive and allot of bearings LOL very reliable and tough.
 
Still waiting for my Baja to arrive from Germany. Have decided that i am not returning to work until i have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
