They are superb driving models and very rugged, with great scale looks. Yes, they are expensive to maintain, but you get what you pay for. Upper shock shaft threads need threadlocking or the pistons can pop off inside shock bodies. A better throttle servo will be required within 20-30 hours of running, it's a cheap analog unit unlike the nicer digital steering servo also included on the RTR. They bog on low end power, so consider some mild upgrades like tuned pipe, better carb, big bore kit in the long run. Parts are available and fairly priced for a 5th. scale. Really easy to work on with common tools. Laid out like an 8th. scale buggy so a proven design.

I have owned mine less than 30 days, what I've found so far. The low end makes you embarrassed to own the car but a pipe can fix that. I won't get in to what pipe, any is better than stock, I'm sure. The clutch gets hot after 10 minutes and looses performance. I got my pipe the low end is 100% better! I am looking in to clutch housings to keep it cool but I also read an article about drilling 2 holes in the stock cover to let airflow through. I have no regrets about buying the losi. I have my obr motor being made and should hopefully be here next week. The car is a beast and I am a proud owner.
