Do you want the nitro version of the electric version? I sold a buddy the EP version a week or so ago. I was pretty impressed with it. He purchased a 5000 Lipo at the same time. It is faster than my MT by a decent margin. He also bashes the truck to hell and it has held up over some nasty crashes and jumps.

4/5 on looks
5/5 fun factor.
I have not seen the Nitro version run yet so I am not sure how great it is.
My suggestion though is if you want it for your son depending on his age I would get the EP. Less maintenance and nitro is hard for someone green in nitro motors to master tuning wise. I think in the long run a young man would be happier with a electric car.
