Can I install a x-maxx ESC on DBXL-e?

Guys, can i install xmax esc on dbxle?
From anothee point of view, what would be a better esc to install: xmax, spectrum firma (dbxl 2 one) or Max5?

Just an fyi, the db is a good bit bigger and heavier then an x maxx, so you'll have to watch your amp draw so you don't fry the x maxx esc

exactly?...so ideally u would need a 10 or 12+s esc to have plenty of head room amp wise?but these r expensive

I ran the hobbywing Max5 in my brushless converted DBXL. Worked great. I've heard horror stories both from Xmaxx owners and DBXL-E owners of frying their stock ESC's because they were under equipped to handle the vehicles weight/size. The typical upgrade for both Xmaxx and DBXL-E tends to be the Max5.

This probably won't matter to most people, but I do like to tune my ESC/motor combos a bit. The Max 5 has no motor timing settings annoyingly. I always like to run low timing so my motors run cooler.
