WT-668 the rod that the throttle linkage attaches to has a bit of play in it. Carby has done allot of work, used it in my MT and now in Baja, done over 30 tanks.

Can this be fixed or do I need to toss the carby? If its an easy fix would be a shame for me to throw it.

yes mate its a simple fix just replace the shaft as in the link above one little screw in the centre of carb the butterfly flap and a eclip on the side you can try just undoing the screw and move the shaft over a tiny bit take the eclip off and put a thin shim or washer behind the eclip i have done this in the past it does stop the movement but wont last for ever so id try this first then just replace the shaft its cheaper than a new carb but then if you can get a new carb cheap enough why bother get a new one and keep the old as a spare or ebay it

thanks for the info fellas, thats what I thought just replace the shaft but one of the boys said because the carby is softer than the shaft its the body that was worn and therfore pointless to repalce the shaft.

does this sound right?
