Can't get motor to start for the first time

I'm trying to start my motor for the first time with no luck, good spark, non branded carb 1 1/4 low and 1 1/2 high. I can't even get it to pop off even when I put fuel right in the cylinder.

If it is a brand new motor and you are getting spark it sounds like you have severely flooded it. you need to pull the plug and let everything dry out. How did you check for spark did you check at plug wire or by pulling plug. I have flooded out a motor and had the plug stop working. Make sure the plug is sparking.

Agreed with xRay...I had some issues also...between friends, Dan, and some guys on here, we ran the gamut for troubleshooting. Mine ended up being a carb (diaphragm) issue...if xray's advice doesn't get you running, post back up here, and I will help. I know other guys on here will also help you out too.

I got it to fire finally.

It did break, I did not kit anything, but it was really cold outside too.
