ok so I'm messing around with the XT tonight, and I notice a puddle on the front top plate...check it and its gas...start to look around and I see a lot of oil/dirt residue on the upper plate above the gear and under the carb...it looks like a bad seal...but the engine cranks fine...and still runs good I just think its a leak...is there a way to tighten it down or should I pull it off and just lock tight the screws (hunch I have). is this bad or can I run the truck and just deal with the cleanup later?
I know you guys are going to recommend me replacing the carb...but can't really do that right now...with holidays just not going to have the time to order and mess with the thing...really just looking if there is a quick fix or if this is something I shouldn't worry to much about?
