Ok back again. I have an mt wish I have ran for 5-6 hours so still fairly new. I am at a high attitude area 4200 feet to be exact. The other I was running the mt and finally had gotten it tune in just right. Today I took it to the track, started up fine ran for about 5 mins going pretty slow to warm it up then it died. I have been trying on an off to get it to start back up; it will start but only with the choke completely closed, I try to give it a little gas to keep it running and the rpms sound way too high. As soon as I let off the throttle it dies, I have reset the needles, my tank it vented, I have checked the choke and throttle paddles both work fine. I have no idea what is up. Maybe a needle broke? Or dirt in the carb? Any ideas? Thanks

Ln and hn are good.

The fuel air mixture needle is the one that is found beneath those. It's a larger needle.

Same concept as the above. Clockwise and the engine gets leaner. Counter clockwise and the engine gets richer.

Since it's already lean, maybe not enough fuel is coming in.

Try Making it richer. Too much high rev is not good.

Adjust your throttle servo. Increase your throttle servo starting point to 5-10%

Ok talking about the idle screw. I'll try adjusting that.

Rc dad I believe I am too lean but just in case where and how would I find the air leak?

The isolator block between the carb and head is where most leaks take place. Spray it down with WD40 if the rpms drop, you have a leak.

Ok I'm thinking it is a leak because I have the lsn almost 2 full turns out and still dies. And the idle screw as well all the way out.

Finally got it to run again. Lsn was out 3 1/4 turns. Got it running tried to adjust the idle screw. Dead! Won't start again.

Found the problem, gasket was completely gone. And some had gotten in the motor.

DDM carries them in the past I bought the blue gaskets but they would still get destroyed so give the copper gaskets a try.i was fed up with blowing out head gaskets so I bought a gizmo's 4 bolt f/M Zenoah and never looked back.it seemed after every run my gasket would blow out and I properly torqued the bolts and used sealer.some 2 bolts are good some just always have problems....good luck...

Sounds good, probably be a while before I upgrade the motor. I wish these two stokes would start easier.

get a drill starter conversion kit.check it
If he is having carb issues the drill starter is only good for flooding the engine 10 times faster than a pull start..I work for a printing Co.and we use aluminum plates that are .018mm thick and hold up real well as a gasket.. Needles to say I will never buy one for the head again.
