guys yesterday was tuning on the rampage mt.


high end was great and low end was good.only problem is that when i come to a stop,it will idle down real low and then die. lean it out a bit and it would bogg and idle high.


tank is vented.


anyone know whats going on.
 
The V3 doesn't come with the Walbro carb which is why they can be hard to tune the carby on the V3 is a copy of the Walbro. They can be hit and miss.
 
Yes they can be hit or miss I have more hit though then miss have you checked for an air leak first? Check for air leak make sure bolts are tight to the manifold. Usually extra air is getting to the car to cause that to happen.

got a question.

i had it runing while i was blowing the dust off and when i went over the carb it die,dose that mean it has a airleak around the carb somewhere.?

Yes that could do it get it back running and spray some wd 40 on the side of the carb if it starts to idle high then you know for sure there is an air leak somewhere.
 
that the carb didn't ship w/the gaskets. but, i called them up & asked if the carb shipped w/the gaskets. i talked to philip. he said no. i told him the site said nothing about having to purchase gaskets by themselves. he told me no problem & was sending me the gaskets i needed today. thanks philip & gizmotors! that's very stand up!
 
Yeah gizmomotors is a great place and cheap the gaskets are cheap as dirt so I didn't mind buying them I actually bought extras too never know what's going to happen lol
