Carb Reccomedation

Looking at carburators and I saw this Hop Up Carb Walbro 998

Are there any Upgrades carbs reccomened for the chimera?

I am running 998's on my MT and my XB and love them I was running 990's before, great carb but I get more out of the 998

Cool!!! So It should run reallly well on the chimera!!

813, 990 and 998 are all great carbs...you will see a night and day difference from stock.

They all have the same motor so you will be fine with whatever one you decide

I just ordered a 990 carb. Was going to go with the 813 but I heard the 990 was better for bashing.

Good choice. The 990 is a solid carb.

I was running the 990 something happen to it,so went to the 771 version 2 at gizmo's it made a world of difference in my MT.

I was running the 990 on my mod engines and loved them but I switched to the 813 and it really woke up the bottom end by taking out the lag. It's a little harder to tune but really worth it.

The 998 has an accelerator pump. The 990 does not. This helps with acceleration. I have them on a couple of vehicles and love them. The 990 is a nice carb also. Not better, not worse, just a little different.
