I have that WT-990 carb I cant get it to idle . The Idle screw when down or backed off dose not touch the idle plate . My idle screw is screwed it dose nothing at all . A longer screw will not work in this case the idle plate is to far back from the screw . It seems like there might have been a plastic tip on the outher end of that screw so that when moved down it would touch that idle plate and move it .Can any one look at there WT-990 carb and let me know how there idle scew is touching that plate . Thanks

This is a pic from the bottom of a 990. Not he clearest, but I hope it helps. Idle is normally set about 1/2 way up the tapered end of the screw.

Thanks for helping RCDAD . My problem is that the tapered head of the screw dose not even come close to touching that plate even screwd all the way down that plate is set back to far for the screw to even come close to touching .

Is the throttle bracket spaced out this far?

Does your idle stop screw look this long. I'm guessing there is a wrong part somewhere.
