First thing I would try. Most times at factory settings they are too rich so when you give it throttle it gives it too much gas and dies. If that does not work then try going the other way and richen it up.

On the 4 engines I have 1 1/4 out on the LSN was too rich. When I broke in my race ported 30.5 I had to lean it out to begin with just to keep it running and where it would pull off.

mooman007uk the pulse port hole in the gasket are lined up thanx. i drive at a very dusty track so the carb takes in a lot of dust as the airfilter is not duel stage. so i have to open the carb and clean it every three runs. now i hav put another filter over the stock filter which should help. i could'nt run this week as we were attacked by bees. will give it a try coming sunday if everthing is alright. if u hav any tips on improving the air filtering it would be appreciated. at this time i hav put another piece of aircon air filter over the stock.

bees

where the heck do you live that you get these bees keeping you from racing. a lot of guys use the outerwear's pre filter. the stock hpi or clone of it is a good effective dual filter. daves discount motors has some nice effective filters if you want to get a new one/type.

When bottoming out the needles turn them in till they just bottom. If you turn them in too hard you can mess up the seat which makes the carb worthless.

Well I live in india. N I hav a small farm about 2acres where me n my buddies have built a race track oval in that's where v ran from to save ourselfs from bees n hid in the car for an hour before v could go n pik up the cars.
