The very first thing I noticed about my Rampage since day 1 was that the stock brakes had tremendous gripping power. If anything they need to be smoothed out some. The carbon fiber may be the answer. I think I'd probably keep the steel pads though.

Another material combo that is worth looking into is steel discs and copper pads like MCD uses. It sounds weird but they do work very good and are very consistant.
