Nice work. just a few pointers respectfuly. you can use different screws like cap screws to hold that parts better. the tap screw my put different presure on the bracket holes and maybe slpit. But not likely. Also, if you don't use the holes for the old roll cage, you don't have to cut them into your part. Obsolete. very good work. how did you cut the CF. What would be realy interesting is what the weight difference is. Do you have a gram scale? Im not a implying that you might. lol.

no i don't but its some weight off for sure i use a dremel and a rotor to shape the cf but its a hassel alot of dust and 1 day of work i will get the flat screws for now i just use those but i will get the other ones just don't have any right now i have more if anybody interested have for abouth 2 more sets i can make them for 30.00 ship with the work f/r center and servo plates they will be cut to shape with no holes so you can cut holes to youre way i will make them like the pics if interested let me know thanks

I was thinking about making some parts out of CF, too. But I was considering mounting the RX battery to the front plate (which will be CF) with some Velcro straps, kind of like a LiPo set-up. The stock battery box just isn't doing it for me, it's a tight fit for both the battery and the RX. Where did you get the CF? I've looked online but can only find the imitation junk.

They look nice. My only beef with carbon fiber is it breaks. I had those same front brace parts in carbon fiber on my truggy and they constantly broke so I switched to aluminum and have had no issues since. will be interesting to see how they hold up after a couple of the infamous MT nose dives. They still look sweet, I like carbon fiber but mostly for looks.

Carbon is for light weight and compaired to aluminum the same thickness it is stronger.

Great job Wicks!

same thickness as original parts i have a bad landing and nothing broke so i will see later the shock tower will also be 5/16 thick same as original towers and the c/f for that is aerospace c/f pure carbon so its way stronger
