what kinda case is it? like a cy or zenoh. is it really a 30.5? the only motor i know of thats a 30 is the fs motors. there nothin to right home about, but they run. and what do you meen by "carbon fighter". ive never heard that "expression" or brand before.. the 30's will have gobs of torche but will lack in top end. they are great if you wana pull tree's out of the ground but they make less rpm's. if you have one as a spare, just put it in and see. the 23 is a dog anyway

i am a former fs owner and what fs calls a "30cc", isnt really 30cc. the piston from the fs motor will fall into the cylinder of a 28.5 from cy. and they don't appear to have any longer stroke. it was also a very "poochie" motor. and they afe afour bolt style that may make getting upgrade headkits more of a problem. do yourself a favor and put a good headkit on your cy. i had better performance on mine with a cy 23, and later moved up to a 28.5 and that was fun! however the 28.5 proved to be more than an fs can handle, and i started breaking diffs. so i got rid of the fs and now im getting a redcate tt and im going to put my 28.5 with a walbro 813 and x can on it!

i would keep the cy motor. just put a headkit on it, unless you realy want a zeneoh. a modded cy29 is the same case as the cy23. it will be cheaper and you wont have the hassle of trying to sell it

i say this with good intentions. im wondering why so many flock to the 30.5's. with a 28.5 or even the 27's you have more torche then needed and so much rpm is lost with the 30.5's. just don't really see it.

Both my 5B and my rampage have the 28.5 . But the 30.5 makes more torque i really don't get into the speed on my 1/5 just like goobs of low end grunt . i might pull the 28.5 from my baja and slap in a 30.5 and a ddm pipe just for fun .I want to have a spare motor for when I get me another Rampage are the Baja 5t.But I agree with you guys the 28.5 is a sikk little motor the perfect balance of power.
