Carbs, i've got questions

What I would likee to know is if 990 gives better performance then stock why would run 668? Isn't a 668 pretty much like a stock carb on a cy?


Is it just for ease? Since it has a choke.


And there also just seems to be so many carbs.

True 668 has the choke, but the 990 takes the hesitation out if you have any when you pull the trigger till when the car moves.

Hey ya I know that. What I am wondering if one carb is better then the other what is the advantage of running let's say the 668? I've run a few 990's and I've never had a hard time starting an engine with one.

There is no advantage to the 668 when comparing to the 990. Some just like a choke. The 990 performs better than the 668.

The 668 has a low end lag. The 990 doesn't. I've tried both. The 990 is definitely superior.
