Got some cloud cover-cooler temps this afternoon. drove both cars - same surface-conditions- tires-ect- Never really throttled a car with a center diff before- its got 500,000 wt silicone in it. It seens to turn very good-smooth under power.- On a short really square edged rough straght section, it seens like its on rails- The xb accelerates harder, but i have to stay right on the steering, it will launch sideways instantly if i break my consentration-spelling-aggg! The cat seems to like to right angle the corners- back off the gas, turn, then pull the trigger. I never blip the throttle - either on the gas- or on the brakes- Whats your driving style ?? - Also, The rebound check valves i build makes a HUGE improvement- the front end was easy to dial in- the rear? I must have went tru 1 quart of assoated silicone, and many many piston mods- I really wish i had a movie camera so you all could see for your selfs!- The modded shocks are on the tb 2 hybred.-The cat shocks will be next- just gotta find spare o-rings.

Glad your shock mod worked!

The launch to the side under WOT is a pain. It seems even more prominent on pavement.

Behind the house is the schools running track-football field. just open the gate and drive the car to it. the end of the track is a good place to do the drift mode- the water system is on a timer, this allows me to do this drifting in fairly high traction conditions..I most times drive the car like one would a dirt bike off road- not on a track.- just go over my head- skill lever in little baby steps- then slowly charge a little harder. learning curve i suppose-- The tb shocks had 4 huge holes in the pistons- These were sealed off. Then drill 4 0.43" ports- 4 .040" ports on the check plate- 25 wt silicone, not a typo-25 wt! Suspension is a balancing act- its all connected- pre load-anti squat- compression-rebound- Sorta hard to explain- All the settings port holes ect have been put to paper. The cat settings will be an entirely diffrent animal. If i cannot find seprate pistons-seals for these - I will use the tb2 shocks- I have several sets - dozens of pistons- seal bearing sets-3 sets of springs-This may-- or may not be an improvement.- The cat shocks are great shocks folks-- but I cannot dive into these with out spares.

Eventually- I bet the Germans will be the 1st to do it, will be to design the shock internals the same as a modern dirt bike suspension- Huge ports on the pistons -with dozens odf assorted thicknesses- diameters of plates- This is called velocity sencetive. It does not use fixed ports-holes-. It allows one to have lo-speed, high speed compression-rebound- Bikes use 2.50 wt -most times shock oil- it has a really high viscoty index-- The fluid weight stays the same at diffrent temps. The 1st modern long travel suspension system was designed for jet fighter aircraft- This giant leap forward allowed the airframes to withstand the huge shocks- hammering opon landing on aircraft carriers. just a bit of trivia---

I power slide through corners and never use the brakes.
+1

one personal massive advantage of using the MT on a tarmac track is its weight! the truck matchs my agressive driving style and i love it!!!! :D
