Ok so I performed a kv test with esc and motor smoked. Motor still moves but pretty sure it is done though. At least I can buy the 2028 now. Still sucks

Was it the stock motor? I should have only ran it up for a few seconds to gauge the kv, it must have been on it way out....

No it was a new leopard 5698 710kv.
