center pinion gear shim size?

does anyone know what id shims fit the center pinion gear on the rampage mt? it needs to go more towards the ring gear as there is too much slop and the wear pattern is not good after only two runs.
 
got it all apart, had to use heat on every set screw and shaft though! the pinion is a 10mm, but it has a recess at the gear, so a shim would fall into that and not sit right, so im using some epoxy to fill the void, then i'll use my mini lathe to make it flush with the machined surface.
