Centre diff leaking

Hi all me again my centre diff is leaking on the dbxl I have atop Rc upgraded diff hosing and gears it’s only leaking at one end it’s the o ring near the out drive can’t find any new seals that fit the other end has a white o ring and the one what’s leaking it’s black don’t understand it if any one can give me any advice it would be grateful

Take the oring out, measure it. Go to local parts store and get a new one that matches up.

Most likely gunna be a metric o-ring as well

Tried that even borrowed a big box off o rings from work but can’t find one

Take the old one with you.

If you can find the proper thickness buy a larger diameter one than you need. Cut it to fit the required diameter and glue it together using some brand of crazy glue etc. Make sure you cut it at 90 degrees and the cuts are clean. We use loctite 401 at work and do this in an industrial chemical refinery it is standard practice for some of our applications.

Down grade is more like it, should have got one off a dbxl-e. A-top isn't know for quality. @Bizzer gave you you most viable option if you can't determine what size is used.

No you should have gotten the alloy diffs out of a dbxl-e

Oh ok this already had the atop rc diffs in and I didn’t no the dbxl e had alloy diffs in anyway

Make finding parts a bit easier. The dbxl-e diffs use all the same guys as a standard diff.

I’m just wondering if I can get hold of the o rings that the dbxl e uses because I think there is a white o ring in the other end which is not leaking

They are silicon o rings if memory serves. Take the other one out and measure it. You may have to order it.

Hi went to the track today with dbxl got back found centre diff leaking again wound it be idea to put a diff locker in instead of normal diff

I have the vertigo lockers in both the 5ive and dbxl and I like them they work good for my style of driving

Because I’ve got upgraded centre diff mounts in the Dbxl will new diff still fit ok
