Well I was very excited to have a large scale rc and I live in the mountains so plenty of places to run it. But after a few runs I decieded Im gonna sell it. Just like nitro its smelly, messy and not something i want to do. I read for days and days on this site all about the truck and modifications needed to make it tougher, weak links fixed and other maintenance. With that being said this is a wonderful site with tons of info on these. I have ran rc's for 20+ yrs and when I was younger I loved the nitro's and gasser's. But for me now itsall about crawler's abd scale rigs. Does this mean because Im older now that I want to run slower things? Naa I have a brushless 4x4 slash w lipo for them fast days lol. So I just wanted to say a huge Thank you to everyone for the wealth of knowledge in this forum. Im a sell this beast or trade it to someone who is interested in large scale. Well ty and good luck to you all and I hope you have many wonderful days of running your 1/5 scales !!

Thanks, If I had someone to run with mabye i'd keep it idk. I think im to new to post in that section, Also I have no idea what its worth. Im just trying to trade for a crawler or scale rig or maybe something else electric. But thanks for the suggestion.

I was at the hobby shop yesterday and saw a hpi baja 5 t. Such cool rigs. I guess If I cant sell it or trade it I may just rebuild it this winter and keep it, still riding the fence on that. I have watched a ton of videos from here on the trucks and you tube and when I took it to the hobby shop yesterday it's definatly a eye turner/ conversation piece. :)

If I had a spare Rampage sitting around I'd convert it to a big ass 1/5 scale crawler minus the solid axels. Even without solid axles the independent suspension of the Rampage would still be fun.

Well I done 2 indepedant susp crawlers a emaxx a sad revo yrs ago. While i think the emaxx did fine it wasnt no comp rig. First i just looked the diffs and i had fun with it but kinda lacked some clearance so i used links to make the axles solid.

With these being 1/5 i would be interested to see one. Espacially the motor esc. Would be very cool to see actually. If i cant sell or trade mine i might take up the task it actually sounds very interesting. Only real challange i see is power plant. Not sure what electric motors would be able to handle the weight. Although, making the chassis as light as possible would help, derlin maybe allum, or even just a cage. Wow listen to me ramblethrew the ideas lol. Keep this up and i will have a new project in my hands.

well i guess this thread was premature. After talking with original owner of it and hearing more of its past and having tearing it down almost all the way now, Im gonna keep it. I was just overwhelmed because when I actually had it in my hands it seemed to be in need of many parts. But that isnt the case as I been told. So im sorry to take up space with my on and off the fence concerns. But as this point im gonna keep it, clean it, fixe it and run the snot out of it :D

Ty for all the positive comments though.

That's true also. I used to live in town and one time a nitro ran away from me and knocked a 8 yr old boy down and left a nasty bruise on his ankle I felt so bad. I couldnt imagine this beast hitting someone. I enjoy running with others, at one time i had 5 ppl up here running with me, my stuff but was fun.

Well back to reading more good info here, So much to learn and so much good information here
