here is my cheap 2 channel 1 to 8 cell charger, its a hotbodies gt exscape

ive been using this one for over 1 year now, and i have had this type of charger befor on my nitros it was great for charging two stick packs at a time and great on my savage i could charge the rx battery my radio and a couple of stick packs for the rotor start so i could bash all day.

its a 2 channel so i can charge two rc cars at once, and i can charge my l/s car and radio at the same time, i use it for my camera batteries and batters around the house, it will charge one to 8 cells, i take it on family trips to charger camera batteries and so on.

its a simple charger will not do lipo,s it don't have a fancey display, but has simple reds lights to let you know when its charging and when its finshed charging and it auto cuts off when the batteris are ready, it also has its own cooling fan built in and each channel you can slid a switch for 1, 2, 4 amp charge, each channel is fused seperate.

its 12 volt dc, so i can use it out and about and charge things from my cigeret lighter in the car or it comes with direct battery conector, i have modifed a 12 volt 9 amp 240 volt power supply so i can easly charge things from 240 volt at home and in the shed, i have also modded a multy charging lead to make like easyer when im charging 8 aa batteries for my radios and cameras, but i had just added a futaba charging jack and removed my old specktum charging jack, so i don't realy have to use the 8 cell battery holders for charging.

here is a picture of the charger, its a hot boddies, its recomend by hpi for most of there cars and it comes with the electric savage that runs twin batteries, and comes with two leads for chargine stick packs,on one channel ive added the multy charging lead to it and the secon channel ive has the standard charging lead for what you find on most large scale cars or stic packs.

here is the 12 volt 9 amp 240 volt ac power supply i simply modded and add a 3 cigerlighter and 1 usb charger adapter glued it to the top, i just had to make a couple of quick mods inside and do some soldering to the power supply, ive been using this power supplier for over 12 months i won it cheap of ebay it was from hong kong.

i use one of these an old 4 cell aa battery hold like what you would find in a rtr nitro to charge my 4 good camera batteries, i knew it had to be good for some thing, i aslo use it for test things

ive used a few expencive flash chargers with lcd screans, but this is the only charge ive kept its simple works well and being able to charge two seperate things at one time is a real bonus for me.

hotbodies makes them i think they have been brought out by hpi, they where for the electric savage that runs two 7.4volt stick packs at once.

good basic charger, its great charging two things at once.

im told jaycar sells they same thing with a difrent sticker on it, not sure if you guys have jaycar in the usa

with a 6 sell lipo charger you can charge 2 x 3s lipos at the same time but you have to be very carful, and its not recomend, i used to do it for my trex 450 se v2

Ah you have a Trex...nice,I've got an ESKY belt CP,brand new and fooked! Never flown one in my life, bought all the upgraded head and tail in CNC alloy.Thought...'hmm,I'll just see if I can hover it in my conservatory" hit the idle up switch and guess?Hit the fookin roof done 300 quids worth of damage to the roof and near wrote the heli off! that was a year ago and its still in it case. What amperage do you charge your liPo's at? I'm doing a 11.1V 3s 25c @ 0.8Am.

i sold my trex 450 se v2, it took a wihile to get the hang of it but i could wack 9 batteries thru it with out crashing, i got sort of good, i quess but it take a long time to practice,

at the start we used eskys and walkeras, but they where crap even with all the upgraeds, so i built a trex 450se v2 and could hover straight away, my step dad and i built a honey bee king 2 no matter how well it was set up, it was a pig, upgraded it with all the fruit and it was still a pig,

so i built my step dad a trex 450 se and he could fly no worries, so i think it pays to spend more on the choppers and use good electrics, i used a dx6, then a dx6i a futaba 401 gyro with a futaba digital tail servo, hitech hs-65mg servos

swet up is very important, they need to be ste up for 3d even if you just hovering, the rtr honeey bees and belt cps where very badly set up and most will never fly with factory set up.

depending on what battery i was using i was charging singles 11.1v 3s 2200 at 2.2amps, or 3300 at 3.3 amps and 2100 3s at 2.1 amp if i joined to of the same batteries together i would double the charge

with helies a good radio, a good helie and a good set up is very important, he is a quick pic of my old girl
