Just out looking at different sites and went to our buddies at Engagerc.com. Not that I want to give them a ton of publicity, but they do have some good prices on a front disk brake set for the FG/Clones.

Take a look and someone tell me what they think. I thought 60 bucks is pretty good. I was looking at a front disk brake set a couple years ago at hobbypeople that was made for the grizzly and was the same price but was discontinued by the time I was able to determine I wanted it.

That's the same set I have... I didn't pay 60 bucks though, I think I paid 85...

They work pretty well, but they are not very efficient so you are going to need one hell of a servo to lock the wheels. (My 7955 won't lock the wheels) The other thing is the brake cam (the arm where the cable attaches to the brake caliper) needs to be bent outwards. Otherwise the little return spring collapses into coilbind and you have little to no brakes.

With a few tweaks and a good roughing with some 50 grit sandpaper, they work OK.. The rock-hard pads last forever..
