Reading the Rules!
Go to one of your local hardware stores.Buy one of those spring type door stops that mount to the wall behind the door.It's roughly 2" long and made out of coiled metal,like a spring.($1.69)Buy a rod that electrician's call"fish tape-run rod".It's normally made out of fiberglass like a fishing rod.($8-10.00)You also need something metal for your mount.You would've surprised what you have lying around the house that you could use.Pending on what you putting it on.My losi DBXL has a spot for a spare tire on the body frame that works great.You need a small flag or anything you want to fly around on the end of you flag.I see small flags everywhere I go.You could cut up a old towel.You also need silicon and super glue.(opt)O.K Here we go.Take the door stop apart and you will see the bottom mount with the hole on the middle.This is what you need to make a bracket for.Once you have mounted it you need to cut the fiberglass.I would not make it longer than 20-28 inces(longer the heavier)I cut mine 20 inces.The end with the metal on the rod is the part that goes in the door stop.If their is no metal at the end you can use black tape wrapped tightly around the very end of the rod.(1/4 thick)I socked the tape in super glue so it wouldn't move.You can now use the silicone.(opt)Fill the small end up at least 1/2 way.The more you fill,the stiffer the flag will be.If your rough and crash/flip a lot,use less.The flag can now be glued to the top of you flag pole.Put the glue on a 1/4 of the way around at a time until it sets up.Once you've glued it all the way around let it all dry.You do not have to use silicone but as you fly up the street it folds down easier from the wind/speed.Almost done-once everything is done/dry,bend the opening of the door stop so you can screw it into your mount.Make sure you screw it tight.There you go.Any questions,don't hesitate in asking.I have all of the 1/5 scale so I couldn't tell you all of the mounts.You can figure it out just use your imagination.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!
