they already made a 1/5 scale savage, it was in australia and europe, and it was a huge flop. it was a nitro version that came with the k5.9, it was underpowered for the size.

the electric one might be better, but its going to depend on the drivetrain. if they keep the savage diffs its gonna suck, they already break em with the 1/8 scale savage flux. the center diff is a nice idea.
 
from what ive been reading on the savage forums, it uses savage flux diffs and transmission, the only difference is the transmission has a center diff. it also doesn't look anything like a new platform, it looks like a savage flux with a longer chassis and a short coarse style roll cage. the suspension looks very much traditional savage. its also the exact same motor and speed control as the flux.

it'll be interesting to see how it works. like i said, the 1/8 scale savage flux manages to break drivetrain stuff on 6s. bigger tires, longer chassis, i think the only thing thats gonna save this thing is the center diff, it'll at least take some load off the rear diff.
