hi guys anyone know what brakes these are bought these about
4 yrs ago, just pulled from dusty shelf to have another go at em
they are weird they got a membrane on master cylinder between
cylinder and metal plate screwed on with 4 screws,
I guess for fluid pressure to work piston ??
also where the piston goes through brass fitting
when it was screwed tight the piston would hardly move
so matter how good the servo this b---h aint gonna work properly
if at all ,so what I did was drill the holes bigger by a 1/16
and now run smooth as silk.
I pretty much guarantee you cannot a replacement membrane
so again my mod was cut a piece of 1mm rubber membrane
to shape force screws through presto sorted
I have put a thread on here regarding GTB front considerably better looking
than these Chinese knockoffs, but they hardly need any movement now piston is sorted
and lock up like Bugatti IMG_1634.JPGIMG_2311.JPGIMG_3537.JPGIMG_4422.JPG

also I forgot the info and pics im putting up
I hope someday it can help someone else out
cos like the rest of guys in here I know how
frustrating it can be
so respect to everyone in here. :):):):)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

I have a set of those brakes in red. They are absolute garbage. They sell them on ebay for around 65-80$. Absolute worst knockoff product Ive ever seen. The seals all started leaking within minutes of having hydro fluid in them. The little bolts strip if you dare apply more then 2 3/4 lbs of pressure..a headache to set up...
Junk!!! I tossed the ones i had and it was the best decision ever. GTB and Mecatech are the way to go...

Correction: "I had" a set of those...

totally correct total crap, leak like a colander ,maybe better with other
rubber seals ?
I tried using them again to help myself with the GTB ones I got
because found them easier to set up than the GTBs
the knockoffs I found I could make the them lock up
with smallest amount of pressure
by hand they were literally impossible to pullout of calliper
thats what I want with GTBs
the GTBs are the nightmare
rediculous to fine tune for the price they should be piece of p-ss
so my dilemma is do I ditch all the hydros
sell the GTBs
and go o natural ?????????????? ahhhhhhhhhh f--k f--k f--k me what a nightmare

I think ive come the conclusion that these GTB type 2 hydraulic 2 piston
which is the newest version don't work properly,
ive put new connectors new seals pretty much rebuilt them
they absolutely do not leak, ive put them all together off the car
put rotors in callipers pushed master cylinder I can pull
rotor off calliper and when master cylinder is pulled back
pads closed 1 end and open the other.
when you have calliper with no rotor in and move master cylinder
you can clearly see that only 1 piston moves in and out, the other doesn't
that makes logical senses ,I am from an engineer, but I am hands on
and practical.
I got a saying!! , if something don't look right, more often than not it aint right
and these GTBs aint right

ok well ive opened the calliper to show the 2 pistons
on the back of the calliper there is the connector for
tube for fluid as you can there is a hole where fluid is pushed in
against the piston, so my question is how is the other piston pushing
out , at same time, which its not , ive checked with master cylinder
if someone can give me some ideas, or possibly contacting GTB/FID
either 1 have never emailed me back ever in 3 years
appreciate any helpIMG_3023.JPGIMG_5281.JPGIMG_9192.JPG

absolutely correct thats my thought there is something wrong
cos I can GTB set up totally correct no bubbles in the system
and yet when I push on master cylinder nothing happens,
its either bad hardware , or a ??? don't know !!!!
I tried the GTB master cylinder with the Chinese knockoff
it wouldn't work ,put Chinese master cylinder back in
locked the Chinese callipers up like a train
tried the Chinese master cylinder with GTB callipers ,
the pistons won't move thats by hand pushing more
than enough pressure
Anyone explain that ??
tells me the GTB for whatever reason failed
and must have come from work shop like that
cos I aint modded dremeled anything to this gear

correct ,thank you for that, ill put another way,
the cheaper Chinese brakes.
I am looking for an answer or solution
not a geographical product correctness
