I have a obr 7hp with 990 carb no choke, prime it well and should start no problem if its tuned correctly, my starts on the second pull everytime

I also run a 813,read on this site a little while ago to prime the carb 5 to 10 times then pull the throttle on your tx handset open 3 quick times then use the pull start.Works spot on with me.

If it has a foam filter it is simple , prime it as normal then use your finger to push through the sponge blocking the air intake as that is all the choke does.

You can also push the throttle trigger a few times to bring fuel into the carb, after you have used the primer bulb. 2-3 push on the throttle trigger.

not so simple on mine wt771 23cc oddie,,i have to take filter off simple jubilee clip prime bulb, then thumb over carb inlet hole couple of pull till it pops filter back on then pull bang there you go,,its the same even after its been running then cooled down abit and just will not even atempt to fire unless you choke it again its a total pain but it is the best way for me

That I must say I have never thought about. I do it as a routine with my 990, and it starts on the first 1-3 pulls, but maybe I don't need to do it?! hahahaha
