Well I've race my car 3 times this year so I thought it should have a bath and a check over.

Everything was in good order - no worn parts, just a new filter (it wan't too bad but I've got loads so what the hell) and one of these for the exhaust

http://rc-car-online-shop.de/shop/e...299-04-fabric-tube-24-x-23-f-06299-1pce-.html

and it's ready to be raced at Scotland.

It'll have a new ring after Saturday practice and another check over ready for the sundays racing.

Normally the exhaust is held on with bits or wire. This one is fixed to the rear shock tower and off the roll cage is a "steady bar", it's a bit of flat alloy bar bolted to the cage with a bolt going into the grub screw hole. The bolt has a length of thick fuel tube on it to act as a buffer to reduce vibration. The bolt/tube will slide through the hole on the bar and should the car land on it's roof this should prevent anything breaking - touch wood, it's worked so far.

I thought it looked like a mount but the fuel tubing made me wonder...
good idea as i keep breaking the wire mounts...
