cleaning air filter

i may be ahead of myself cause my tt wont be here for a few weeks but i waqs wondering...


with my nitros, i washed the entire filter assembly and foam inserts in hot water and a little dish soap and let them dry after every hour of use. then re-oiled and kneaded the inserts till there was oil all the way through.


is this how 1/5th scalers clean their filters?

I clean mine after ever 2-3 tanks. Depending on how dusty the conditions are. Other than that I do the same things you do.

i clean mine once a tank then use the same oil as my nitros. it might be excessive esp. since i don't think i have ever done it to my weed whacker in three years lol.

lol. no doubt. the weedwackers we have at work get used and abused daily with no maintenance

I clean once a week and use a can Brake Cleaner (brake wash) it's high pressure cleanse every thing, and drys right up.
