Im workin on my MT and im havin a hell of a time trying to get the A gear off of the clutch bell shaft, the gear is sitting crooked on the aluminum square which is killing my mesh, and I cant get it off to save my life. Ive beaten the crap out of it with a block of wood and hammer and this ba%$ard wont give... ...Has anyone else had this kind of trouble getting the A gear off the clutch shaft? Is there a certain trick to doing this? Because im about to get mid-evil on it, and im probably gonna end up ruining the shaft in the process... :(

I think redcat should re-think the idea of gears and how they mount.

But yea you ain't the one. All I did was put the gear in freezer for 2-3 hours and then got it out eazly. Thanks rob for suggestion

I think everyone has had a few issues getting the gears off at some point in time :)

I've always wanted to see if the Himoto gear plate setup was viable. If I ever get around to it I will. I know Kryptonite loved that setup. :D

Yeah ive been interested in trying it out myself, and after having so many different gear issues, I may be trying it out sooner than later. I have read alot of positive posts about it from Krypto as well.

MCD has the same problem with their cheezy squares, whopped out layshafts, wobbly bearings, and exploding gears. Kinda makes you wonder why nobody has come out with something better other than another set of metal gears.

I was going to order the gearplate with gears from wurthman but i didnt know if they have the buggy gears and if i could switch the a and b gears without issues??

It'd be nice, wouldn't it hehe :p

Ya gotta love how simple and quick that is.... :)

It makes doin a gear change almost as fast as a Nascar pit stop!...lmao...Cant wait to try mine out, thanks for all your help yesterday Stephen.

Nice video and the bearings looked tight! Just a question wurthmen?? If you buy the 31 29 25 25 can you switch the a and b gears????

Another thing I love about that gearplate, its narrower. If it was mounted on the XT, it wouldnt stick out past the body :D

Good point! I think now I should have enough room to put a brace on the MT chassis where the gear cut-out is, and strengthen it up... :)
