Any experience with them? I might get me one soon....RCDAD said:Yes, fit all that uses the 54mm clutch. That includes the Redcats.
Please post a quick pro and con of it when you test it out please RCdad?RCDAD said:It's sitting on the bench. I'm waiting on some more parts before I install it.
It looks neat... looks promising... have to try it out too whenever I am able to asap.RCDAD said:Will do....The only con would be breakage. I don't foresee that happening.
OMG.... my new bell and bearings arrived. Installed it into my gear plate and did a quick test idle. It didn't run off now no more comparing to the old bearing and clutch bell. This may be the problem. Not sure if the old clutch bell is bent (not visible to my eyes) but most likely its the bad bearings on the gear plate. What do you think RCdad? Will have to run the XB when I got time and space to truly test if my XB is back onlineRCDAD said:That's no too bad if it fixes you issue. Beats an engine tare down in my book.![]()
But Rcdad... I replaced my spring with a brand new one with brand new clutch!RCDAD said:- You could have a bad clutch spring, keeping it engaged.- Are all your engine spacers in with the screws. 2 under flywheel cover & the 3 on the gear plate?
Maybe the pass running with bad plate bearings on the clutch bell may have contribute to a possible bad crank bearing? Don't want to tear apart my engine if I don't have toRCDAD said:I really don't think you have enough run time for a bad crank bearing.
That is possible. If you had a bad wobble it could add stress to the crank.ChuenouXiao said:Maybe pass running with bad plate bearings on the clutch bell may have contribute to a possible bad crank bearing?
All the engine mounting hardware is in and secure?ChuenouXiao said:But Rcdad... I replaced my spring with a brand new one with brand new clutch!![]()

With it grabbing that much, something is misaligned. Remember a bad bearing will make the crank sloppy. The clutch would have side to side play as the crank wiggled. It most likely would not keep the clutch engaged with the engine off.ChuenouXiao said:Disregard my message above! After idling my XB and letting it cool down, I try to push it back and forth with engine off and its seems the clutch is engaged to my clutch bell. As a result it literally is making my piston move. This means that something is misalign. I think it could be my bearing inside my piston rod. I might have to take my engine completely apart and inspect those bearings. Oh boy.... looks like my XB will be down for a while.Whacha think guys?
Engine mount is secured and all bolts are carefully tighten on the gear plate for the bottom of chassis and engine.RCDAD said:All the engine mounting hardware is in and secure?
Not that I remember Rcdad.... the only bad wreak I can think of is a tumble and the bar was scratched. Besides that... nothing I can remember. What could it be? Wierd......... the bottom chassis seems straight.... ? I don't know now...RCDAD said:With it grabbing that much, something is misaligned. Remember a bad bearing will make the crank sloppy. I honestly don't think it's any of the above. We're missing something here.ChuenouXiao said:I don't know.... I have three choice now.....1. replace XB chassis (get Ol farts chassis)
2. replace new engine (cause I'm lazy to take it apart and diagnose?)
3. replace my MT gear plate
What do you guys think?
