Clutch Engaging

Hey guys.. just finished up installing new:

- Ring gear
- Pinion
- Large Alloy Motor Mount
- Brake discs
- Steel diff case

All went well, except for the clutch immediately engages and the truck takes off as soon as the motor starts. Does not appear to be the throttle, linkage or trim. Ideas?

Sounds like the spring came off the shoes.

When/If you need to tear it down I would recommend swaping the clutch shoes around.

Also, not sure which model you have but if this is applicable, did you check that the three round aluminum spacers on the gear plate are in the right places? One of them is smaller for the lower left hole and will cause the bell to be cockeyed if in the wrong spot.

Tore it back apart.. clutch looks good.. put everything back together and all is well. I did notice the c-clip on the spur was loose. Maybe that was the issue.
