How the heck do you get the clutch housing off the engine? I have bent two allen wrenches trying to get it apart and it just will not break loose, any ideas?

Wow I don't know why I always forget about screws might having loctite on them, didn't think loctite would be on the clutch housing though. I will give this a shot.

There was some on a couple of mine but I think one didn't have any but they weren't that tight. I just used the allen that came with the car and a tube on the other end to give me more leverage

Or a driver. These are my two best friends.

An impact driver is a tool that you put a bit on the end put it in the screw turn and then smack the tool with a hammer works great on cart parts might be too much for these small motor but an impact drill like rcdads should work great

The power driver is an impact driver. Works similar to a pneumatic impact wrench used to remove the wheel lugs. Some drills also have the impact hammer feature.

Rcdad do you know the item number of the two you have so I can go to HF and ask for them

Having good hardened bits is important. The HF bits are soft and won't last long. The ones DDM and KillerRC sells are pretty good.

Hey stygian. I had some rounded bolts too. I started w/the easy out but I ended up using a trick that worked w/atv bolts that did this. Just like rcdad said, use a torx bit but one that is just slightly bigger. Not one that will free spin in there. For example, on a 2.5mm bolt that is stripped use a T15 torx. Tap it in a few good times til it is in there good. Then just spin it out. If it's real bad, use a bit (I used a 3/32 & lubed it w/a drop of oil) & drilled it down a tick & again tapped the torx in. It worked & the bolt was snugged in real good from the factory. Hope this helps some. :)
