Hey guys,

Took a few photos of my drivetrain. My pill start was extremely hard to pull and I'm pretty sure it's the clutch and spring so I'm gonna just get a new one as their only £15. Just took a few photos though as I'm unsure if there maybe something else not right. Any help would be much appreciated and lmk if I'm taking the pictures in the wrong place.

Cheers

Thanks, I don't know how but I missed some broken plastic piece. Anyone know what it is? Also best way to clean? I took apart the gears and brakes before and then took me forever to put back together as I forgot where the pieces went so not so keen on doing that again.

Thanks

Hard pullstart would be backed out clutch bolts or dropped coil on the flywheel. Or worst condition would be internal damage to the engine. Download the 5b manual and keep it somewhere safe for future reference. Wash it with simple green and air dry. There are plenty of washing vids on YT, including mine. The broken plastic piece looks like the clutch carrier to tranny plate brace. It should be corrected.

I left the Baja in storage for about a year, took the clutch off and tried pulling with the spark plug and it's still really hard to pull. I'm thinking now the engine might be busy.

Thanks all

try what was said above mate, the coil gap, chances are the coils just dropped so it rubs on the flywheel,
reset the air gap to the thickness of a business card and then tighten ,
then see if its still hard to pull over (y)
