Hi guys


I was curious how long your clutch shoes are holding up?


I've tried the hpi high response shoes with the 8000 springs along with


The factory shoes with 6000 springs.


I've gone through a lot of shoes and broke a few springs here and there.


I typically run a low gear ratio for torque. My MT has all the goodies so its very heavy.


How are yours holding up?
 
8000k spring here bashing at least 4 days of the week and still one piece after almost 2 months ps one truck run complete 8000k hpi spring and shoes other truck stock shoes with only 8000k spring so far so good I should mention that the truck that has the stock shoes is pushed by a gizmo pro stock so a lot heat on the clutch.

+1 for 8000k's clutch's
 
I think it mostly depends on what terrain you mainly run on. The Dune Runner clutch and bell were toast after 3 gallons of fuel. I run in the desert and the sand and grit ate both up. Big groves in the bell surface. I blow out the rig with compressed air after each session, but, can't get to everything.
 
Go to Sears and get a 5 gallon compressor. That way you have something that will blow out the rig, and will fill 120 psi truck tires. And won't blow the budget.

Plus run a paint gun, etc. :)
 
I would take a look at harbor freight, I picked one up just for my rc's for about $50. That way it saves me from haveing to power up my big one.
 
+1 on harbour freight...I got an 8 gallon for under 100 on sale....120psi....you want at least 5 gal....but 8 still empties pretty quick
 
I think they have a sale on them right now, I bought a pancake style one from them. I just seen the same one for $50 bucks. It's nice and portable and not to loud for the price, plus you can fill up car tires kids bikes ect ect.
