clutch pros/cons

What are pros and cons of vented clutches and carriers over enclosed ones?? I know vented dissipates heat but should I be worried about debris and moisture getting in to the assembly? I bash and race.

Do you run on beach and/or sand. If you do, you want enclosed clutch so sand doesn't get in there and trash your clutch.

im running an Bartolone open carrier and housing with full mod 320 and my clutches are lasting a little longer.plus it looks cool lol
